Rules Based Decision Model (RBDM) is the collection of all manufacturing
decisions that determine product specifications. Decisions from
engineering, marketing, sales, manufacturing, etc., are combined
to determine how a product will be produced and with what available
options. PowerQuote implements these decisions (Rules) into a "Decision
Model" to drive the quoting process. RBDM verifies each step
of the configuration process to ensure that the quote will be valid.
